The son of Babur, descending from Timur and founder of the Mughal Empire. Nasir-ud-Din Muhammad, better known by his regale name Humayun, was the second emperor from 1530 to 1540 and again from 1555 to 1556 in territories which are now Afghanistan, Pakistan, Northern India, and Bangladesh.
