Dhunbai (née Wadia) Lady Jehangir was born in the wealthy Wadia family of Bombay. She was the daughter of Ardeshir Hormusjee Wadia, and married to Sir Cowasjee Jehangir Readymoney, who was also a prominent figure of the Bombay Parsi community.
