Shri Sadashivrao Bhau (1730-1761)

Balaji Bajirao’s (3rd Peshwa) nephew, Sadashivrao Bhau was the commander of the Maratha army at the third battle of Panipat against the invading Afghan army. He led the Maratha army to Delhi and fought against Ahmad Shah Abdali. He died on the battlefield on 14th January 1761, on the day of Makarsankranti. He also served as the finance minister during the reign of Maratha emperor Chhatrapati Rajaram-II.
