Nanasaheb Peshwa (1720 – 1761)
He was known as Balaji Baji Rao. He contributed a lot for the development of Pune and was appointed as Peshwa by Chattrapati Shahuji Maharaj in 1749. Maratha power reached to its peak under his reign.
