Maharana Bhupal Singh (1884, r. 1930 – 1955)
This is a beautifully executed portrait of Maharana by A. R. Dutt. A similar painted portrait can be found in collection of Maharana of Mewar Charitable Foundation, Udaipur – painted by Punjab painter S. G. Thakarsing. There he created a fictional background with decorated pillars, windows and a beautiful landscape of Rajasthan. Here one can just see a simple curtain as a backdrop.
