Roshanara Begum

Roshanara Begum (1617 – 1671)

An Imperial Princess of the Mughal Empire, she was the daughter of Shahjahan and Mumtaz Mahal. Roshanara was a brilliant woman, a talented poet and also the mastermind behind her brother Aurangzeb’s accession to the throne.
